Expedition coördinator (fulltime)

The current team consists of 6 colleagues; inbound and outbound specialists. We would like to add 1-2 more to make this team complete. We are a few month’s on since the DC opened on 1 March 2025. We are very open to feedback, so you can really make a difference with your knowledge and experience. The atmosphere is informal and there is room for personal development and growth.

What to do:

As an expedition coordinator, you are responsible for the correct administrative processing of incoming and outgoing goods. You are the point of contact for customers, drivers and couriers and supervise accurate administration. It is a truly all-round job, where you work both in the office and on the floor. This means you also physically check incoming freight and report any discrepancies. Drivers cannot do without your instructions, which makes you extremely important in this logistics company!

• Monitor progress and take action when necessary
• Check, enter and close shipping documents in the system
• Resolve issues relating to incoming shipments, status positions and packing slips
• Ensure compliance with company rules and procedures
• Provide support to the warehouse team

This is the job for you if you:

As an expedition coordinator at Smeding, you will have a lot of responsibility. You have an eye for detail and remain calm during peak periods. You take on tasks independently and also work well within the team.

• Experience with ERP systems and MS Office
• Experience in a coordinating role within logistics or transport is an advantage
• Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written
• And occasionally working in an environment of ± 4 °C? That's no problem! Of course, we will provide you with a good, warm coat.

! Applying for a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is mandatory for this position.

We offer you:

• Salary from €2,700 and a shift bonus
• An employment contract for 38 hours, with the intention of permanent employment
• 26 days' holiday for full-time employment

A 2-shift schedule, including saturday once every two to three weeks:
